This is an image of the first chapter in my senior design project. My class was assigned to construct a multi-part project about something in design that we are passionate about.
I chose to create a book on the collection and exploration of
found type.
'Found Type', as it is explained in the book, is any type of typography or signage that through natural degradation has gained aesthetically pleasing qualities, and as well as the stuffy explanation is totally fun to hunt for.
I really had a great time compiling this book, as well as communicating with other already successful artists in
the field.
One such artist, Enrique Pardo (who contributed work to my book) came up with the lovely flash presentation you can view if you click on this image of the book.
