This is a project I first
created in my junior year at UMass Dartmouth, and later came back to in my senior year to rework the design.
The project was to essentially create an unorthodox calendar which was also useful in some way.
Aiming for the 4 to 10 year old range, I chose to revisit my younger years and create an entire year of fort-building. I set out immediately building everything from blanket forts to snow forts, lovingly photographing them as I went. The photos served as examples of forts built in my own fashion. They were also accompanied by playful descriptions of how to go about selecting the proper sites, supplies,
and temperaments.
